Metastasis surgery

The treatment of metastases - for example in the liver and lungs - poses a great challenge to an interdisciplinary team. The therapy approaches for the abdominal and thoracic cavity are usually multimodal. This means a combination of, for example, drug-based tumour therapy and or radiation, as well as, whenever possible, surgery, i.e. an operation to completely remove the metastases. The most modern and highly innovative methods with gentle procedures are used here.
